• A strong foundation in the early years can shape a child's future. Strong literacy, math, and other foundational skills open doors to new learning opportunities.

• Learning is not only about what children know. It is also about building the skills and mindsets that help them overcome challenges, recognize possibilities, adapt to change, persevere through difficulties, and thrive in a rapidly changing world.

• With the guidance of caring adults and access to effective teaching and learning resources, learners can develop the knowledge, skills, and mindsets they need to thrive throughout their learning journey and beyond.

Our Vision

SkillPathway envisions a future where:

• Every child has the strongest possible start, with the key skills intentionally taught, practiced, and reinforced from the very beginning;

• The skills and mindsets that shape a learner’s success are not something we wait to develop later, but something we intentionally build and support from the first day of learning; and

• K–12 educators, leaders, parents, caregivers, entrepreneurs, and communities come together to learn from one another, bridge the gaps between our roles, and create meaningful opportunities that empower every learner.

About the Founder 

The Story Behind SkillPathway

I’ve been creating learning resources for as long as I can remember.

When I was a kid, I would make graphic organizers, study schedules, review sheets, and anything I thought might help me understand topics/lessons better and reach my academic goals. That instinct to create and share what worked extended beyond my own studies, too. I used my own materials to teach my cousins and classmates how to read and write in English.

In high school, I first experienced the real value of my work when a classmate asked me to create a test prep sheet in exchange for a Backstreet Boys magazine. I remember the excitement of making it, thinking it was just a simple, fun trade at the time. Later, she came back to share her test score with me. She was smiling as she told me how proud and happy both she and her parents were with the result. It was incredibly rewarding to see that something I had created could help someone else succeed.

When I became a teacher, that same passion naturally carried into my classroom. I created materials to meet my students where they were and helped them experience success in ways that felt meaningful, joyful, and empowering.

As a learning facilitator and grade-level team leader, I continued to create, revise, evaluate, and recommend tools to support my fellow teachers in our shared goal of improving student engagement and learning outcomes.

Throughout my career, I've learned that meaningful learning is not driven by a scripted curriculum or the latest educational trend. It happens when learners are guided and supported by caring adults who keep the focus on what matters most: what learners need, how they learn, and how we can best support their growth.

That support is strengthened by having the right tools and knowing how to use them effectively. The most impactful tools are not simply engaging or well-designed. They are purposeful, practical, and thoughtfully created with both learners and educators in mind. 

These insights and experiences inspired me to found SkillPathway, where I create purposeful, research-informed resources that help educators, families, and communities support children in building the key skills they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
